All joking aside, it’s amazing how many of these are still in service. I have seen quite a few in small shops running old SolidWorks versions, still making money for the owner.

Yup. Over here we went the other way: we have the latest version of MasterCam throwing code out to lathes and mills with tape readers. 1986 models. Still making chips. Still cranking out some of the latest aerospace parts.

It's the starter switch - hit the starter with the ball of your right foot and work the accelerator pedal with your heel to pump a little gas in to the carb. My '47 Wyllis Jeep and '49 Ford PU had one.
