What I can't seem to understand is how anyone here can be surprised when Dirty D has to resort to these responses...
I just keep seeing this nonsense where people are hoping that reality is different than they want it to be.

I totally hear that. I spent from age 6 to 52 spending much of my time climbing. Initially, I was a peak bagger, then I got into technical backcountry routes. The Tetons were like a magnet. I have not done all the classics there, but many of the top tier big routes. The mountains are like a playground, but with a twist - there are no appeals in the court of gravity.
Eye bleach doesn't work because the brain remembers what the eyes convey.
Now for the coup de gras, try to associate a smell with those pictures. The brain can't help it and it will never go away.

The same thing always happens on picture threads. All you can do it keep tossing up pictures and buying extra eye bleach.

I stopped climbing because WW kayaking took over.
then I became a busy father so class V is gone (my choice).
My kid loves climbing, so looking to start back into it more.
She loves outside vs gym, which makes me so happy. just stinks as my main climbing partner moved to the west slope and after a few questionable calls, Im super picky who I go with.

Yes, I heard about Eldo from my younger son. Very sad. One of my good friends took a 150 foot lead fall there, landing head down. Not good. I've been helping my son learn trad, which, in my semi-crippled state, is not optimum.
Eldo is a great place, as long as you like holds that aim the wrong way and loose rock in the wrong places. One of my favorite playgrounds.
Have fun with your daughter. It's great to struggle against gravity with those you love.
Eldo was a great place to climb, havent been there in some time. the challenges were fun, always wore a helmet for those small lose rocks. Hoped if a big one got me, it would be large and moving quick!
We top rope climb now as she is 9.... but she loves it and can rock up a 5.5 without issue, 5.6 if the holds are close enough for her height
I have cared for many a rough climber fall in my days. I was almost always into the long days of easy routes vs pushing hard. a few days of pushing it on short but tough sport routes showed me what I really loved!

It's not a vaccine. If it were, no one would get the virus afterward. It is an experimental drug with potentially terrible side effects, depending on the person.
Secondly, the appropriate TREATMENT. Is old, proven, cheap and effective.
Thirdly, follow the money. Chinese money into Joe's pockets. Pharmaceutical companies stock values dramatically increasing.
And I can tell you an FD in Texas where 120 out of 150 Firefighter/Paramedics did not take the experimental drug, when we were offered it early, and have continued to decline it. It would not be a good idea to try to force us into it.
