There is a state park in Homosassa Springs that has a small zoo. At one point they kept a number of nonindigeous creatures including a hippo and a crocodile about 15' in length. When Hurricane Andrew came through, a ranger with a rifle was positioned to prevent the croc or hippo from escaping. As the water rose, the croc was able to get into the hippos pool. The ranger said the hippo played with the croc until he was bored and finished him with one chomp.
