I can't remember where I found this but the article said the photog was shooting and a wild cheetah strolled up and started nuzzling him. I know cheetahs were tamed long ago, but I think this would get the adrenaline up.

As long as you hear him/her purring.... Any other sounds/language and I'd be concerned as well. I was on Safari in the Masai Mara and happened to encounter a few cheetah in the wild. I let them alone to finish the kill they just got, since they are often victims of rip offs from hyenas and stronger cats (lion, etc.).

Cheetahs very rarely harm humans, especially in the wild. It's usually abuse in captivity that triggers them. They are not built for taking on large animals and humans that don't threaten them are of little concern. That's why they are so easily domesticated.
