That reminds of an Okie downhander pipeline welder who showed up at my jobsite on Hanford No.2 nuke plant cooling tower make up and blow down lines (about 4 miles each way 36" and 42" spiral welded line pipe). His name was Blanton Woofard. Showed up in a c Corvette converted to like a short box pick up with a Lincoln welding machine in the back.
