I never, ever used fire starter. Try to start every campfire you build with one match, even in snow country. Have to keep your skills sharp.

I do not disagree.

And I carry 3 helpful ways in my “Oh Crap” kit in my pack every time I go in the woods.

Also good to practice with each and know things for the emergent situation when you are hypothermic and time is of the essence.
