I'd say somebody didn't perform proper PMS on the windlass. Glad no one was hurt.

That looks like what we delt with up in the Boundary Waters when we decided to keep a mess of bluegill. The snappers kept trying to take them off the hook and out of the basket. I grabbed one by the tail and have some pictures somewhere.
I am curious, how much chain length is there on an aircraft carrier or cruiser?
About 16 shackles for carriers but the latest carriers are using “lightweight“ chain so the anchors are not as heavy. The chain holds the ship in place, the anchor is just the weight to pull it out. 1 shackle is 90 feet.
Fuel Altered or go home! The body on these is for the protection of their giant balls.

My best friend growing up is from PA, and my financial advisor (we used to fly together in the AF) just retired to PA…gonna ask them how they think this could have happened. I’m no Dr. Oz fan, but sweet jeebus, anything would be better than that commie potato that got elected.
