That is what happens when you view life through a device camera/screen. You miss the obvious shit right in front of your face. Screen should say "objects are closer than they appear".
I was at a Rockies game and saw a guy in the bleachers near us give a mentally handicapped kid a foul ball. That kid was so happy, made his day. One more reason baseball is the best professional sport.

The interview with the guy that killed her boy friend and kept her locked up is unbelievable. Hard to think people like that walk among us. He confessed to a quadruple killing 13 years earlier and 3 other murders. Listening to the confession is painful because the cop writing the statement must be related to Gomer Pile. The killer bragged about how fast he killed everyone in a motorcycle shop, went back and shot everyone in the head to make sure they were dead and just walked away. He told the policeman "You would be proud of me. I cleared that building in less than 30 seconds, including a tactical reload."
You know you're rural policing when you've got a cordless grinder and prybar handy but not one cop has a handcuff key.
I was completely unaware of that case. Reading up on it now.

We had a gun store in town (closed now due to retirement) that you could buy a bottle of jack, a gun, a fishing/hunting license or other gear at the same time. I thought it was great and always bought a bottle of jack with every transfer.
One day I was transferring a Caspian frame that I got off a prize table and said I would take another bottle of Jack. The owner said you must be drinking a lot lately and I said I had at least 6 unopened bottles at home still. Another old guy who was behind me buying a shotgun asked me why I was buying another one for if I didn't need it? I told him because I can and it was America damnit! He laughed and went back and bought two bottles. I did get a discount for the up sale.
