I've been to Oahu a few times for work, it's a shithole...West Pacific Island of Commiefornia. Hopefully the other islands aren't as bad, never made it to any of those.

I love Kauai and have another trip planned this year. Kauai is much smaller and less crazy than Ohau. It definitely has much more of a small town vibe and easy to get around (except for traffic, navigation is easy)

I plan on going to Maui and the big island at some point.

I've been to Oahu several times and Maui once. I've also taken a day trip to the Big Island. Was able to stand atop the Kiluea Caldera before it errupted. As stated above, the most relaxing is Maui. I stayed in Kannapali Beach. I took tours into Lahina. Yes, Oahu/Honolulu is cray-cray with tourists, especially in July and August. You're lucky to be able to walk down Kalakaua Ave. in one piece. You might do a little better on the North Shore near Laie, but the PCC is up there. Be careful.

My p
That brings back memories. Cinnamon rolls on the dash at dawn when driving east, they never got all that warm but they sure tasted good after 12 hours of driving.

My parents would come visit us down at scout camp. My mom would fry some okra for us and wrap them up in aluminum foil. About 30 minutes out my dad would stop and put them on the intake of the 351 in our Galaxy. Damn they were good.

I have an aunt who's a nun and spent 7 years on Kauai.

She said it was 80 every day, 70 every night. Also rained for about 20 minutes each day. Never been there myself.

Very true. It will start off sunny, turn cloudy in minutes, rain, the sunny again. Rains almost every day mostly in the afternoons. Kauai is the wettest place on earth with more rainfall than anywhere else.

From my last trip there.
