Irony: In these countries, the very men who had confiscated these weapons are far more likely to die slow and painful deaths from being poisoned by their wives with diquat/paraquat herbicide for infidelity than being killed with a firearm. There are very few things in life as quite as horrific as an intentional diquat/paraquat poisoning, with the exception of organomercuric compounds perhaps... The latter is a new level of terrifying.

I Don't exactly know how old I was at the time. But I was small enough that my parents were pushing me around in a stroller.
Anyway...My parent took me to the San Fransico Zoo to see all the animals. I was enthralled! But at one point, my eyes got big around as saucers and I stood up in the stroller and pointed back behind my parent and started screaming "The Gorillas got loose! The Gorillas got loose!"
It was the first time I'd ever seen Africans. My parents thought I'd killed us all.

From years of looking at stuff on Goregrish and TheYNC, this is the main route of "personal dispute resolution" in much of South Asia, with India and Pakistan being the epicenter. There are so many cases of diquat and paraquat fatalities in these countries that the Indian National Ministry of Health has a special department solely dedicated to trying to save those who had ingested doses of diquat low enough that they MIGHT be saved. MIGHT is the keyword. Diquat and paraquat is horrific shit as the particles once they enter cells, start to aggressively oxidize and the byproducts of the oxidation themselves are also reactive and they in turn, continue to oxidize and inflict cell death at an exponential rate...
Hypothetically speaking......where would one obtain this magical...uhm I mean horrific substance?? A friend was asking......
