What are the latest models? When I started (in college) it was the S-370s. I dealt with a 155 (OS/MVT) and a 138 (DOS/VS - which we converted to VSE/Power). When I left college, they had just introduced the 4331 and 4341. When I last worked with them, they were up to the 3090 series (MVS/ESA).
Edit: Never mind. I see them updated on Wikipedia, now. Looks like it's the "Z" series. With which, then, are you working?

Agreed. That’s the worst section and where 90% of the stoppages are. Then the back all the way past exit 55 often. That’s why I pay the tolls to take 417 to bypass that shit.
Because honestly, while that wouldn’t phase me in the least, the worst stoppages, every…freaking…day, are in that section.
And yes, I-4 has always been a PITA from one end to the other. At least since ‘81 when I moved here. It’s the only East-west corridor between I-10 and gator alley.

I have not had work nightmares since I retired. When I left the salt mine the first time I retired I left because I could not sleep at night worrying about work. When I went back to work (different company) they treated me with kid gloves because I told them up front, "I have retired once, I will do it again if this doesn't go my way."
I still stop by the workplace during the day and ask if anyone wants to go shooting with me.
I thought I was the only one, and I had something wrong with me.
Actually it took several months before the nightmares stopped completely for me.

They really weren't nightmares, per se. It took me about a year to completely come down from being keyed up and tense all the time. About two thirds of it was due to my "management".
Don't miss 'em, in the least. Liked the job though.

Horus is supposed to be the most brilliant tactician of the 20, and was well aware of chaos and its influences prior to the events on Davin. @Fx51LP308, first started off with punch cards. Some of my early stuff I had to change disk packs to load the entire program. That lasted up until we went to a IBM VM machine. Thought I was hot stuff when we could have VSAM file access on the VM machine. One of my last batch job stream had 34 programs which did an accounting conversion. Could only run that at night because of limited resources. Went to the control room to shut every job down so mine could run.
Second to last job had 5 underground floors of nothing but IBM mainframes and disk packs. There were CPU’s / disk packs as far as the eye could see. Only light was the ‘EXIT’ signs and the single freight elevator.
Last job we had MVS/XA, 4 mainframes. That was in 2019 when I retired. I was doing CICS w/ DB2 database. Others were doing Oracle database.

Been there, done that. And one time, I changed out a u-joint on my car in the parking lot of a Dave and Busters. It dropped out on me on the street and I coasted into the parking lot.
I liked what I was doing. Just didn't like the assholes I was doing it for.
