I would image it would taste similar to otter as they both eat mainly fish, but otter is extremely lean. Penguins need alot of fat for arctic warmth, so I'd bet it's got some fantastic marbling..... count me in!

It would be more a layer of fat like a duck with lean meat I’m guessing.

But they can be pretty active(swimming) a lot of inter-muscular fat doesn’t usually go along with an active animal. It also wouldn’t insulate very well scattered about, a thick outer layer on the other hand.

I think the point was that penguin fat was not needed for arctic warmth, not that they weren't fat. Because Penguins don't live in the Arctic.
