Are you serious? That was the worst POS I have ever seen. I would doubt they would even finished that garbage...

I understand where all of the critical reviews are coming from. Yes, the storyline can be confusing to follow sometimes. Presentation can use a little work... And I hope the subsequent chapters will redeem it. I still enjoyed Chapter 1. It is an epic scenic western at it's roots. Not an action packed shoot em' up. It's like comparing The Outcasts of Poker Flat (short story, 1869) to Ambush At Dark Canyon (2012). To me, it is in the same category as those super-long creepypasta readings by people like DrCreepen on Youtube. They are perfect as background ambience to do work by. The second run of Horizon: Ch1 got me through an entire project of warfing a bunch of very cheaply obtained metal recurve risers of proprietary fitting made decades ago whose manufacturers have long since gone out of business, into new ILF/DAS risers that can now take limbs of both connections and got them outfitted with ATA taps and rail/accessory mounts. And those are all in the hands of new owners now. Once everybody else in the house is sleeping, that is when I start gun/bow/misc other projects and I always have either a long outdoors-themed creepypasta reading, Yellowstone, Justified, Horizon, etc, running in the background while I work.

Opinions may vary, but the most important thing about Horizon is that it is a Western, and an educational epic about some of the most important decades of this country's history. And it was released at the peak of woke Biden idiocracy, as defiance against everything woke. This is the age of social media. Movie audiences want either fast paced action or the weird and outlandish. Perhaps it shouldn't have been released as a big title competitor going up against other major top tier films it ran with, but as a long running documentary series on subscription TV and then to DVD with nice collectors' editions sets. It might have done better that way. Let's hope the subsequent chapters own up and exceed the kickass art and promo that was made for it...

The Earth is healing, slowly...

Can't wait for Chapter 2 that is supposed to be coming out this year. And 2 more to follow after that. Four squall lines to cleanse the arid plains of contemporary cinema and bring much needed rain to these fields...
