I swear.... do these people have a clue about "burning bridges" and what that means? I would never leave a company like that. Because I'm always aware of what the company might be able to do to my reputation. They could still affect it. Always leave with the most cordial circumstances possible. Never leave in anger, even if you are pi$$ed. Our IT community was very small, and they often swapped companies like bees pollinating a field of flowers. The guy you might need to interview with next might be the very same guy whose desk you just "decorated."
Unless you hit the zillion $ lottery and don't need to work anymore. Still, I wouldn't burn bridges, especially if I hit. Because then, that company might want to bring litigation against me for any reason they can dream of. Nope. Keep things cordial.... to their faces at least.

Chipotle does this to me too. A favorite afternoon meal for me used to be a chipotle burrito followed by some Cold Stone ice cream. I almost always made it back to my apt before I felt the knifing stomach pains and gurgles in my stomach that meant some rapid weight loss in the toilet was on the horizon. Good times
