We were running our asses off. We were also picking on an Emergency Department nurse all day. She gives just as good as she gets, an old salt.

The opioid O.D. we gave Narcan just enough for him to breathe on his own. My partner backed in the Ambulance bay, opened the back door, and saw me holding a syringe. He just grinned. When the cot got into the atrium, I slammed him with a high dose of Narcan. Obviously he came to, pissed off, and vomited on the floor. I told that same nurse "Enjoy!"

I remember my first time administering narcan in my clinicals. The nurse gave it to me, said "I'm standing back". I gave it and the rodeo was on.

Here’s the thing- DOGE isn’t firing “unproductive” people. They’re firing as many people as they can with 0 thought behind it. Elon is just a really fucking weird dude who wants to remain relevant at all costs.

What people don’t understand about running a business when cash flow goes to shit..you need to eliminate fixed expenses ASAP and immediately stop hiring.

If the business functioned “yesterday” then we don’t need more people tomorrow. You need to reset and refocus.

So there is an immediate hiring freeze, which goes for anyone in the training pipeline unless they are superheros.

Next up you stop all spending budgets and have management sign off on any expenditure from buying pencils to parts. That immediately stops frivolous spending as well as reviewing the mangers who are signing off on expenses…are they capable.

The ones who don’t understand this never sat in a C-suite meeting and never had to make decisions that matter for the future of a company more than 100 people..usually those opinions come from the same people who think they know how to build a car better than “Toyota” because there’s a screw that’s hard to get to.

Ah, you're the guys that did the "training video" system. At paramedic school, we had this elaborate video training system that spliced in actual people giving videos of situations in the ER or out in the field, etc. And, of course, the female nurse was .... well... you know... And you had to make selections that will result in a different video being played as a result (i.e. if you answered it right or wrong), Of course one of the lines of response got down to "Nurse Ratched" criticizing you for something, and one of the responses, being, "PISS OFF!" She then responds about your "unprofessional attitude" and that she'll have you "written up" in her report, or whatever.

I can't believe how many of the students told her to "PISS OFF!"

And, yes, NARCAN will make you "HURL!" We had to have "Convenience Bags" at the ready and be ready to roll on their sides as we gave it.

Clearly Norsman is not for everyone. I have friends that think it's so stupid they can't watch it. Being one step removed from Scandinavia I think it is one of the hilarious things I've ever seen. The juxtaposition of modern Scandinavian sensibilities with the Viking Age is brilliant. If you've ever spent time around them you know how real it all is.

They actually film every scene twice. Once in Norwegian and once in English. I hope they come out with a forth season, because it's one of my favorites.

Norsemen is one of my favorite TV series. Some people have no sense of humor and can't appreciate really well done comedy. I don't know how they could keep a straight face when doing some of those scenes.
