This result is precisely the goal of the rabid left. Destruction of any and all institutions that teachhonor, respect, reliability, responsibility, citizenship, and endurance. Skills for outdoorsmanship, and marksmanship are severely curtailed. The left never really cared about females being in scouts, that wasn't the end game. Destruction of Scouting as an endeavor for men to teach self reliance to young men, and raise up honorable men, was the end goal. The very foundation of Leftist activism is "The issue is never the issue, the Agenda is always the issue." Fortunately for many communities, Church led troops have already sought out other internal programs for strengthening youth due to the gradual PC'ing of the program over the last 10 years or more.

It's not Political Correctness... that's just a joke word from the early 2000's. Was supposed to be a pejorative.

It's the over-riding ideology behind political correctness that destroys everything. And that is progressivism, which is a soft term for socialism, which is a nice huggy soft word for communism. And the way the 'destroyed' the Boy Scouts is no accident. It was by design and it's been going on for about 20 years.

Starts with picking organizations that are easy to infiltrate... put in fringe-types to start the rot. The gays, the feminists... they start as troop leaders... the media has melt-down... they become 'cause' rock stars... the Board of the organization gets sued... they have conniption fits apologizing for being so narrow-minded. Next thing you know.... the identity whack-jobs are on the board. Then their friends are there. Now, they're running the board. Now all decisions are made to turn the organization into a rainbow coalition of freakshow-warriors.... and they have the keys to a million-person political organization.... with a solid history. And they have the ability to brainwash generations of kids who, once upon a time, were taught traditional values and survival, military and independence skills... which was what the Scouts was supposed to do. Create GREAT citizens.

But the PC/Prog/Socialist/Commie's know that noone is going to join The Young Oktoberists in the USA.... They can't start their own progressive organization and attract millions of kids. It will take them 5 generations to build a history and a legacy. They don't want to wait. So rot it from within... and steal it. That is now the whole communist system works. That's what Marx and Engels and the rest of the early Utopians advocated. Rot the system from within. Every time you see it... it's by design, not accident.

Do you think, for a minute, that "Community Organizer" is not another nice little safe sounding term?

How much damage can a Community Organizer do... when he infiltrates a system?

Maybe we, as sportsmen, need to pressure other big companies like Remington to do the same. It's a long shot seeing how they are corporate owned, but that would be a large hit for Dicks. I've been in there in the past and Remington has the largest representation on their shelves.

Regarding the BSA, the description above is fairly accurate. However, once the rot start, regular persons stop letting their kids be scouts. As enrollment declines, the corrupt board members open up the roster to anyone or anything. This increases the number of molesters and deviants (part of the plan), and increases membership.

Eventually everyone normal stays away from the organization, and the board members run it into the ground or close to it. BSA may never go away, but I can see it be only 5% of it's former size. Perhaps many of the scout camps around the country will come up for sale, that will be interesting.

Springfield’s decision made my heart smile. This one added to it makes that smile wider. I agree with the other comment to pressure Remington into doing the same.
