My absolute favorite brand of swine. “The PIG.” (AKA M-60). Our friend had carried one in the air cav. He cut down recoil spring to increase rate of fire. The fellow was a giant, jack Reacher kind of giant. Good man, hard to believe he was a New York City native, but a fine man to say the least and a fine soldier.

I've heard that " cut down the recoil spring to increase the rate of fire" before. Complete crock. Softer springs will slow things down, shorter springs slow things down and they both allow the gun to beat itself to death. Stiffer or longer springs speed things up....

60s are fun to shoot and miserable to work on. Love em when they work or when they belong to someone else.
