Something useful the Squirrel Squad could buy
Instead of new fire trucks every year
New fun trucks I mean “brush trucks”
And stop being in a competition to build the most expensive fire house with the most expensive stone brick windows etc

The fire and police departments here just bought a new building. They said they outgrew their old facility. I was like when they made the old building this town had about 8500 people and more homes. Now we have about 7500. They seem to be outgrowing their tax base. We have city and county fire departments that have 6-8 trucks each. Tallest structure in town are grain elevators followed by the 3 story courthouse. They had to buy a 9/11 firetruck from NYC so they had a tall enough ladder to reach the roof. The building is a fallout shelter built almost entirely of stone.

I loved watching those F=22’s when they were flying out of Eglin. (Our son’s home is about a mile from the flight line, and we get an airshow nearly every day.) The sound they make with full afterburners when taking off is beyond normal belief.

I’m sitting in the parking lot, roughly 3/4 mile away, hold my ears, When they light up the afterburners to start their takeoff roll, the sound is literally shaking me (as in rattling my bones). IMPRESSIVE! I Love Em!

If you think that the F35s are loud 3/4 mile away, imagine how bad my hearing is…..my planes are parked about 200 yards from EOR

So, everyone will be squared away, I beleive the picture I used is of an F22. The F22’s tail feathers (Horizontal stabilizers) are trapezoidal, compared to the F-35’s which are somewhat swept back. The stabilizers are also wider spread due to the twin engines of the 22

Yep, those are loud.
5.5 years on them and the same on the F-15s, Cs, Ds and Es.

16 years on the B-1B.
