Just the quickest thought to remind you that these ‘facts’ are sometimes suppositions presented along with a few know details to build a theory, right?
As the simplest example, I know of a good number of excellent shooters who use all the tools available, like LRFs with data connections with Kestral to provide a good read before engaging multiple targets within a 90 second period.
Is that the same as an actual assassination attempt? No. But the familiarity with the tools to do so at that age is not out of the question in any way.
Every kid on every decent high school golf team has access to a range finder and knows how to use it.
