looks like it time to call for a PTA meeting with the school
US Code Title 4 Chapter 1:
d. The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

To the best of my knowledge this applies to an actual flag, not images of the flag. IOW, you're not supposed to take the flag and drape it over your shoulders after winning gold at the Olympics but you can wear a bikini that has white and red stripes w/ white stares on a blue background that looks very similar to the US flag.

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm mistaken.

Never gets old. The ole Columbia River Follies. If it's Buoy 10 time, the idiots are out in force.
I was on a mooring ball on the West end of Norman Island in the BVI, The Bight, and we had just gottn back from drinks on The Willie T.. A huge, 60+’ catamaran (flying a French flag) picked up the ball closest to the channel. The sun was setting and my anchor lights were already on. As I got dark I tried to hail them on the VHF to remind them to turn their lights on; no joy. It’s dark, dark down there at night. About 30 minutes later a boat left Pirates Bight. Inboard diesels and LOUD. They were running wide open came within thirty yards of us, and we were all jumping up and down waiving our arms and screaming, but they appearently didn’t see us or hear us over their engines. The were running full speed towards that catamaran, just like in that clip. I started the engine, put my wife in channel 9, and got ready to cast off. I figured it was about to get unbelievably ugly. Somehow the Cpt. saw the boat at the last second, swerved, and cut his engine. I don’t know how close he came, but it seemed like a miracle from where I was standing. Then came the clear screaming and cursing in West Indian, and that forking frog deserved it. THEN then anchor lights came on and that huge boat was lit like a Christmas tree. Crazy stuff.
