I think the pic is of a B-25 H. Used extensively in the PTO in an anti shipping role. In addition to a shitload of .50 caliber rounds raining hell down on you, they also had a forward firing 75 mm cannon to play with. I’ve seen old pics and movies of these guys flying in at mast height and blowing the shit out of Japanese merchant shipping and a couple smaller combat ships. I’ve even seen a couple shots of them skipping 500 pounders into the sides of the vessel.
Pretty ballsy guys flying that low with people shooting back.
