Western Rat Snake looks like. I stuck my face next to one a couple days ago when I checked my chicken coop for eggs. I usually only kill the venomous snakes, but made an exception for an egg thief.

One of my earliest oil changes was like this. On the farm, I dug a hole under my drain plug and pulled the plug. Covered the hole when done. Right where I parked it. No find gravel needed, we had sand. Lots of sand. Dad still lives there.
