Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

I wouldn't exactly call Arneson drives and surface piercing props conventional props.
The post that started all this shit and I threw the BS flag on was not a 10,000Hp boat, maybe a 1000 HP boat and the person that started said BS has already backtracked.
And who the fuck are you to call on God, a preacher or something? I'm not sure why you want to call God into this and personally find it offensive.
I don't really feel compelled to list my qualifications, but depending on which part of the boat business you are referring to there are few living people that can compete.
If you are with Arneson and have been for over 40 years, PM me, I ran sea trials on a boat with some of your first drives around Fort Lauderdale out of Derektor Gunnels in the 80's, I would love to talk to you.
Otherwise I'm done with this.
I never back tracked, ol boy came in full retard talking about unlimited hydroplanes with turbines that run in circles….not even remotely the same class, so I said the numbers they run while still talking about drag boats at one point.

I seem to be the only one not confused here. two people have posted info backing up what I said trying to prove me wrong. You were talking to me, I’m keeping up with three people, and one can’t even figure out we are in agreement.

if y’all want to argue at least keep the fuck up with the conversation 😆

What y’all are failing to realize in that gif is it isn’t a race it’s a bye run, or a test pass. they aren’t racing the other lane is empty and they aren’t running a full pass, guy lets off once it’s on plane . He pretty much did a 60ft pass in auto racing, but boats take off before the lights green and there’s a large gap between them and the beam so It’s longer than 60’ testing on a strip obviously. Its speculation the distance being tested, but he’s out of it well before a full run, the rooster tail drops pretty sharply because he let out.

Its hole shot testing. It isn’t a full length full throttle pass, they don’t put out 5 digit horse power at idle. He didn’t even need to pull his chutes he let off so early and as going so slow. thy are required in this class and you can see them on the back.

But what do I know right?

Holy crap! I’m about 99% sure that’s the daughter of some friends of ours. And no, not giving out the name for you pervs to creep on her! LoL

Anyone know how to check a name or search a video? I’d honestly be relieved if I could determine it’s NOT her…otherwise Christmas Eve dinner and Die Hard at our house is gonna be awkward this year. LoL
I can find the name just need to know where this video came from.

Brittany at Bristol this past June on Friday night.

3.74 at 334 set a new record for Bristol at 1000 ft.
Mike Salinas was the first to go 300 mph at the 1/8 mile marker in September this year.
Anyone seen a dyno for a 10,000 HP motor?
I've watched them test and tune NASCAR motors and several pro stock motors on a Dyno but not a top fuel motor
I wasn't aware there was a dyno that could handle a top fuel engine. In the old 5000hp days they were reverse engineering the HP numbers by calculating how much it would take to get a car weighing that much down the track that quick at those speeds.

If you were going to dyno a top fuel engine it would have to be outdoors. I can't imagine how loud it would be to try to do a pull on a dyno indoors with a top fuel engine.

I thought the problem with dynoing top fuel engines is that they don't survive long enough?

They don't/can't dyno the TF engines. From what I gather the issue isn't so much the dyno itself, but that the engines won't/can't run for long enough to get a proper read.

Clay Millican has something about that on one of his Q&A videos.

Looking for investors. Designing new camouflage that has a proven track record. The first release will be camouflage patterned after twist ties (like on a loaf of bread). Everytime I remove one I cannot find it. Following that release will be camouflage patterned after 10mm sockets. I see big government contracts in our future. Open to other ideas. lol.

It's a bit suspect when certain members think every other model is underage.
Perhaps, but Mods will error on the safe side and remove content that appears it might be underage.

Someone has to report it though, since none of us Mods peruse this thread regularly. Too much other stuff going on...

This is a Tesla model Y battery. It takes up all of the space under the passenger compartment of the car.

To manufacture it you need:
--12 tons of rock for Lithium (can also be
extracted from sea water)
-- 5 tons of cobalt minerals (Most cobalt is made
as a byproduct of the processing of copper
and nickel ores. It is the most difficult material
to obtain for a battery and the most
expensive.)
-- 3 tons nickel ore
-- 12 tons of copper ore

You must move 250 tons of soil to obtain:
-- 26.5 pounds of Lithium
-- 30 pounds of nickel
-- 48.5 pounds of manganese
-- 15 pounds of cobalt

To manufacture the battery also requires:
-- 441 pounds of aluminum, steel and/or plastic
-- 112 pounds of graphite

The Caterpillar 994A is used for the earthmoving to obtain the essential minerals. It consumes 264 gallons of diesel in 12 hours.

Finally you get a “zero emissions” car.

Presently, the bulk of the necessary minerals for manufacturing the batteries come from China or Africa. Much of the labor for getting the minerals in Africa is done by children! If we buy electric cars, it's China who profits most!

BTW, this 2021 Tesla Model Y OEM battery (the cheapest Tesla battery) is currently for sale on the Internet for $4,999 not including shipping or installation. The battery weighs 1,000 pounds (you can imagine the shipping cost). The cost of Tesla batteries is:

Model 3 -- $14,000+ (Car MSRP $38,990)
Model Y -- $5,000–$5,500 (Car MSRP $47,740)
Model S -- $13,000–$20,000 (Car MSRP $74,990)
Model X -- $13,000+ (Car MSRP $79,990)

It takes SEVEN years for an electric car to reach net-zero CO2. The life expectancy of the batteries is 10 years (average). Only in the last three years do you begin to reduce your carbon footprint. Then the batteries have to be replaced and you lose all the gains you made in those three years.

The truth is far better than the fiction we are all being told !
