I live at Lake of the Ozarks, and would be the last fucker around to own a boat lol. Soooo many boats never see the water here. It's crazy.

Yeah, I was given a hunting kayak and where is it? Hanging in the rafters. Hasn’t been in the water in several years.

I’ll be there in the next couple weeks to jig for crappie. Always off the docks. Just waiting for a friend that lives there to let me know if they’re biting.

And while I truly appreciate the time, energy, and dedication that guy put into perfecting that routine, something about it just feels…well, off putting. Can’t put my finger on it though.
My gut’s telling me he’s either gonna win The Medal of Honor…or maybe shoot up a school.
Rules: New backup gennie is put together; took me longer than it should have to get it off the (broken) shipping pallet solo. Will test run it later this week.
Seems the bite is better in the cold than during the spawn. Just my experience. I usually fish near Shawnee bend and sunrise beach. Drive from St. James isn’t bad for a day trip.

Wasn’t expecting it until tomorrow at the earliest. Re-barreling one of my 6.8 rifles over to something compatible with the rest of our extended family and shooting group’s standardized caliber.
Still greatly prefer 6.8 (or .308) for hunting and pig eradication, but feeling the need to fill out the armory a bit more for some reason.
Also bought a few of those $30 stripped lowers, and those $99 16” 5.56 AR barrels from Aero’s contract overrun sale yesterday.

I have the 9500 W version of that. Be real careful. In an emergency, don't be quick to pull out the charging adapte,r lest you break it and not be able to replace it. Also, be sure to choke it down when you're starting it fresh after a while. That helps.
Are you building a housing for it for noise reduction? I have all the parts for one but I'm not sure I want to do it now. Too much of a hassle to get it in and out, and the HOA won't let me keep the structure outside.

I just finished setting mine up a couple weeks ago, same size, same brand but the Natty Gas version, tri-fuel. Ran fine at idle on the standard gas meter. I'll test it under load when the wife is away for the day and I don't have to deal with the instantaneous internet is down alarm while switching power sources.
My pallet wasn't broken when I started and it took me a minute to get the damn thing off there as well, also solo. Firstly, it's a bit hefty, the handles will dent/bend if you don't use the pin, ask me how I know. Secondly, that is a pallet of above average construction ... real wood and real nails. I couldn't budge the generator off it without breaking the pallet.

I did have one minor problem with it though. There is a black rubber breather tube right next to the auto choke mechanism. It wasn't routed properly from the factory and it would prevent the auto choke from engaging when attempting to start it.
Took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on. I moved the breather tube out of the way of the choke mechanism and zip tied it back/away from the choke. Everything works fine now.
We have a rock wall around our pool pumps, and the plug in for the generator’s just on the other side of one of those walls. My plan is to put it over next to the pool pumps and run the cable over the wall, and into that connection. I may see if I can rig up a larger muffler too…maybe an entire exhaust system that I can rigidly mount to that pool pumps enclosure.I have the 9500 W version of that. Be real careful. Edit: the second 250-gallon propane tank is very near to that enclosure as well…why we went gas/propane. Will plan to run it on gas, but nice to have the propane option, even at reduced output. That tank only feeds the pool heater and the outdoor kitchen, so it’s almost always full.
This one won’t power the entire house, but it will power the casita that has a split and a tankless water heater running off one of our 250 gallon propane tanks. It should have enough juice left over to power our three freezers/fridges, and maybe a couple other circuits. Will test it this week.
