Many years ago (late 80's early 90's) when I lived in CA the circus was at the Oakland Coliseum for a weekend. They had the elephants in a pen in the parking lot. At night a drunk asshole decides he wants to pet the elephants so he climbed the ten foot high fence and got in the pen with them. One of the elephants didn't take kindly to the drunk intruder so it grab the guy by an ankle and threw him out of the pen like a frisby. The guy got really fucked up, many broken bones, but survived. The guy got an attorney and sued the circus. I never did hear what happened with the litigation.
