The 'condition' may have slightly been exaggerated in my post, but the increased vigilance is DEFINITELY real and there to stay.
BTW, veteran homicide cops have been quagmired for hours investigating what they thought were bodies only to find out they were discarded sex dolls.
A rare broken windshield due to a stuffed animal mistaken for something more serious at low light is far more desirable to an actual child or animal becoming another statistic. Carrying a good EDC flashlight in addition to your regular loadout also helps reduce such mistakes drastically.
