That is an awesome story. My Dad trained as a top turret gunner on a 17. The war ended before he deployed but he told a funny story of a training mission. I guess they used a wax bullets and shot at actual fighter planes and during one training flight he put all his rounds in one spot(I assume the rudder or aileron ) causing it not to be able to function, basically shooting it down. Must have been a pretty good group! Although I don't think they were too happy with him, he may have fit in with these guys.

BREAKING NEWS: There is word that Jim Kelly has been flown to a New York City Hospital. This comes after word that the Hall of Fame quarterback's cancer is not only back, but has started to spread.
Jim's oldest daughter, Erin, posted this picture on Instagram of the former Bills quarterback and her in a hospital bed. She said, "Watching the Syracuse game with daddy. He's my buddy! Love him so much!"
