Good watch, that. Enjoy the homeland, Sirhr.

Actually, I am being serious about that... not press dispatches. Noone gave a crap what reporters thought.

The serious side of the story is that the Confederate Army had no medals. No citations. No awards for valor. Lee didn't believe in them. Lobbied against them. The greatest honor you could receive as a Confederate soldier was to be named in dispatches. Particularly Lee's.

I can't think who it was, but one of his officers was mentioned something like nine times. May have been Jackson or more likely Stuart. But it cemented his hero status as a Confederate soldier.

Press dispatches... pshaw. All fake news anyway.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Spent three years in Malaysia just south of the Thai border, used to go to Thailand about once a month for a haircut and HJ and stock up on Mekong whiskey. On one trip we were travelling in convoy at about 50mph when I saw all the doors fly open on the vehicle in front of me and everyone bail out. We pulled over and asked what had happened, all the guys could say was "SNAKE", apparently a six foot Cobra had come out from under the back seat.
