A couple years ago, the fancy new bridge crossing The Mississippi River in Hastings, MN had just opened. There was a big mayfly hatch and they were so thick on the bridge that snowplows were brought in to clear the road! They were causing extremely slippery road conditions as they were squished. I don’t recall if there were any crashes?Any truth to this???
Was in a night bowfishing tournament within a couple weeks, and about 30 miles down stream, of the above story location. Mayfly hatch was not terrible where I was, but some of the boats that came to weigh-in had 3-4 inches of them on the floor.
