I'm wondering if the looks back over it's wing towards the camera were to say: "Don't fuck with me or you're next!"
Perfect metaphor for Trump and the deep state. Heavier than expected but refuses to let go. He will drag the deep state to the shore and let it die on and consume it on the beach.
That is Vince Speranza. He is a living legend. He attends the 101st Airborne Division Reunion every year, faithfully. Incredible man. He just posted a video of him going out of the 34 ft tower, LAST WEEK! 89 years old. Hell of a man.
He is the gentleman for whom the a bar in Bastogne serves beer in a ceramic helmet.
During the Siege of Bastogne, in WW2, he visited the makeshift aid station in a bombed out church, to see a badly wounded buddy. The buddy asked for a beer. Vince determined he would get that man a beer come hell or high water.
He wandered about the town (remember it was being shelled almost constantly) and found a busted up place that had beer. But no glasses.
He filled the steel pot from his head gear, and walked back to the aid station carrying it like a bucket.
He gave his buddy a drink, then passed it around to some of the others, and the MOD. Everyone was grateful.
Fast forward to several years ago, and he was making his annual pilgrimage to Bastogne. He wandered into a bar, and asked for a beer. They served it in a ceramic steel pot. He asked, "What is this?"
They told him the story, from the perspective of the bar owner (who had since passed on), but who had memorialized the day during the heavily fought siege, that a short statured paratrooper walked in, asked for a beer, and left with a steel pot full.
Vinny said "That was me!"
So, his beer was on the house.
If you are a 101 Vet, please attend the reunions. This guy isn't going to be around forever.
I guess there was a lack of farmers in Montana when I was in college because this was me every Saturday and Sunday morning, assuming "sober" also equates to hungover..
There is a building right across the street from my office that we called the TIT building. For decades, it's rear windows spelled TIT. A few years ago, somebody finally got wise and added more windows. Here is a pic of the building from Google Earth. I photoshopped out the windows that they added to show you what the building used to look like.
Asses like that are a dime a dozen, that smile OTOH...

Self-Proclaimed Looter Shot, Killed In Panama City

Right now, I’m a little sensitive when it comes to the topic of looting. After all, my hometown was devastated by Hurricane Michael. We didn’t get it as bad as some places, but we got hammered pretty good. If you wondered why there wasn’t a lot of content on Thursday, it’s because I had no power to write anything.
Now that I’m somewhere I can, though, the idea of someone taking stuff during a disaster infuriates me.
However, I get a nice chuckle knowing someone thought stealing a police car in the wake of Hurricane Michael, and that they got shot at for it.
The looter didn’t survive the encounter, which is hardly something for me to weep over.
Right about now, there are probably people who are willing to bust into places to steal water or food. But I’m sure there are relief supplies in Panama City just as they are in my town. Now, my first thought when I saw the National Guard had brought in MREs for people was, “Haven’t we suffered enough?” Yet it’s food. It negates the need to bust in windows and take people’s stuff.
So when someone turns to loot, it’s probably because they’re too lazy to stand in line to get their share of relief supplies…if that’s what they’re taking. There’s no excuse to steal TVs and such.
When someone turns to loot a police car, though, that’s practically begging for law enforcement to add a little chlorine to the gene pool. Looters who do things so colossally stupid sometimes they deserve whatever happens at that point.
But let’s also be realistic. This is theft, plain and simple. While I can shrug off someone taking food and water when there’s no relief available, anyone taking anything else or stealing when help can be had gets no sympathy from me. Right now, my friends, family, and neighbors have to maintain a constant vigilance because of people like this, and so if one gets shot, so be it.
The only emotion I’ll show is a chuckle at evolution taking place right before our eyes.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Florida State Fire Marshall was involved in the shooting. Looting is rampant in other areas. Residents said broken doors and shattered windows are all that’s left of many businesses as looters are on the prowl.
Panama City is currently under a dusk-to-dawn curfew to try and reduce the amount of looting taking place.“He yelled at me a little bit. He said, oh I’m looting and he opened the door to the police officer’s SUV with the lights going, got in it and shut the door,” said Swett.
That’s when Swett took his family to safety. Moments later, shots were fired.…
