I don't know for sure what happened. It's not a large caliber handgun, Probably .38 or .357, based on where the front of the frame and barrel failed I think it's probably a squib or real bad indexing.
I would guess he either had a squib or didn't have it indexed completely shut.
I don't know. The largest air rifle I have is a .22 but don't tell my friends that. By the way, real men shoot spring-powered air rifles.
