The first trailer for Emilia Clarke's (Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones) new movie came out yesterday. A news outlet used this screen cap as their lead in on my news feed this morning.

I think I've seen this movie before.

California in the good days...not so good now. I knew it wellll. Was brought up Catholic in the day...fifth grade...said 25 Hail Mary’s, 25 Our Father’s, 25 Act Of Contrition’s every night for I don’t know how long that my Mom would let me buy a friend of mine’s 8’6” old balsa wood board with a wood mosaic “skeg” refitted on it...coolest moment at the time when I went to his house with the $15 to buy it off him....can you say happy kid? CowaBunga man. I was a surfer!! Murph The Surf. Cardiff-By-The-Sea. Hansen Surf Shop in a small shack back then, they’re big time now, Swam’s, Seaside, Cliffs, Cardiff Reef. George’s Restaurant, Fish House West, abalone sandwich’s for $1.65...God, they were good after surfing all day. Great childhood.

Sounds idyllic (Leave it to Beaver-ish?) it must make you very sad to see what a third-world shit hole that once beautiful state has turned into.

Denair Unified School District Superintendent Terry Metzger said that gender identity is a topic, required by law, to be discussed in seventh- through 12th-grade health classes

If I was a student in that school, I'd use these worksheets to break the ice and ask a girl who I have a crush on, or who I suspect might have a crush on me to go out on a date... Give her one of these with a wink and let her know that I am filling out my own copy... Might even be more funnier than goofy pickup lines.

There is that... or how the rest of us would have used it....
