CowaBunga man. I was a surfer!! Murph The Surf. Cardiff-By-The-Sea. Hansen Surf Shop in a small shack back then, they’re big time now, Swam’s, Seaside, Cliffs, Cardiff Reef. George’s Restaurant, Fish House West, abalone sandwich’s for $1.65...God, they were good after surfing all day. Great childhood.

Sounds idyllic (Leave it to Beaver-ish?) it must make you very sad to see what a third-world shit hole that once beautiful state has turned into.
