There is nothing I do not love about those planes. Of course these two are my favorites but I love them all.
My dad was a wireless air gunner (WAG) on a Dakota in WWll. He was Royal Canadian Air Force stationed in England. Funny thing is I don't know where the "air gunner" part came from since they only carried pistols.......

I'll bet his hearing wasn't great though. My Great Uncle was Canadian Infantry 1940-45. Including Normandy and Caen. Tough guy. I learned a lot from him.
