One of my dreams is to come to a place like this and to fêted with adoration and affection on a massive scale by a tribe of four-score of mountain nymphs. My amoral thoughts carry me to the various sundry delights that they would shower me with and fulfill my wildest fantasies. That's my dream when I see photos like this.

My nightmare is that they'd all be wearing the lavender Chi-com masks and quarantine my ass for 14 days while they skinny dip on the other side of the bend.

Why do you torture us with photos like this?

I went through the drive through at Taco John's tonight. (Don't fucking judge me)
When the cashier was processing my credit card, the window was open and I could hear Enter Sandman playing on the radio and a guy in the kitchen saying something along the lines of "Metallica released this album in 1989."

When she handed my card back, I said "Tell the guy in the kitchen that this album was released in 91, not 89."

As I drove away I can hear her say "the customer in the drive through said to tell you this album was released in 91, not 89."

I drove away laughing like hell!

I heard "Harvester of Sorrow" playing in a store recently. Made me feel old. Apparently that's now acceptable music for retail.

Haven't you ever wondered that the name should be "Taco Juan's"?

Stood in that exact spot at the tunnel view when you enter the valley. You could sit there for hours just staring. We stopped at the same place after dark after coming off the west ridge and could see twinkling lights on the face of El Cap. Took a minute to realize those where the headlamps of climbers that were hanging on the rock face to spend the night.

Steve Earle, Copperhead Road.

I didn't know this till I saw him a couple years ago, but Steve Earle is a loudmouthed Socialist.

I know a lot of musicians are. But a country guy with a song like that seems strange. Proof most turn to pussies with the $$.

My first song would be Amazing Grace. Then the National Anthem. A good version. Maybe by that little gal who sings for a lot of the UK Wildcats games. She has a soul deeper than most can imagine.

I would for sure need to listen to some Doc Watson flat picking too. I always LOVE me some serious old times blue grass and he is the flat picking king.
