Am I correct in that everyone of those candidates did not win election/re-election?
I've experienced rougher landings with the gear down.

That's Bob Munden. That man was amazing. He used to tune single action pistols for a really reasonable price. He did astounding work. It was said he could draw and shoot faster than an eye blink, so it was possible to miss it entirely. Here's some video with slow motion. The man was certainly a show man.

I dated a rail skinny model in high school who went on to be a runway model in NYC and Milan, she is 250 pounds now.
