I have a vortex viper pst 2-10x32 in the cortex cantilever 2 in mount on my 18” ar10. I’ve been having issues keeping a zero. I noticed my scope was moving forward in the mount and that’s why I was losing my zero. I purchased a fat torque wrench to solve my problem. I torqued the mount down to specs, bore sighted and took it to the range. I was having a hard time dialing it in. I noticed that the scope again had moved forward in the mount even after torquing to specs. Any pro tips for a new shooter such as myself? I’m starting to get very frustrated

Do your ring caps have an equal gap on each side? If one side is touching with all the gap on the other side you will have issues.
One side isn’t touching all the way but the gaps aren’t even on both sides either. I figured it was probably the way I was mounting. I’ll try to get them perfectly even and see if that fixes my issue
