Night Vision Mounting DBAL on side instead of top

Any issues with mounting a DBAL on the side rail instead of on top? I'm only interested in shooting out to 150 meters max with the laser so I'm not concerned with long range trajectory issues.

If you mount it laser lower than Bore you may have problems depending on target size,If its higher than bore you may be OK depending on target size,I try and keep them top rail monted for longer range use.. My Rull of thumb on side mount is 100 yards and in max..

I have a Top mounted Laser and a 50 yard zero on a 300 blackout useing 300whisper hornady 110v-max SONIC ammo I shot some critters at 30,120, and 215 Yards last weekend no mises all kills..

Troy folds-and the lasers are generally off center, usually about an inch to one side and an inch or so high. The site in target gives you the reference for the specific laser. If you have a question as to how much then go in and download the specific PDF file.
