A buddy and have talked about buying a mower for our church .........a small church, maybe 15 acres ..........we have been using members mowers, but it would be nice to have one on site, and not have to depend on someone showing up with a mower.......They do have a tax exempt number we can use...........any suggestions on getting a "DEAL" would be appreciated.......looking for something like a 60" ZTR................Thank you........

Ventrac with a 95" mower deck. They run 0% financing a good bit if you want to buy new. Or you might be able to find a used one from a city/township since they sell to municipalities a lot too.
I’ve been buying equipment from Muncibid.com. It’s all municipal governments auctioning off old equipment. Depending on which town you get it from, some of it is in excellent shape. It’s gaining popularity so things have been selling at higher prices lately, seems to me.
Grasshopper diesel (Kubota engine) w/72" deck. I've had mine for 18 years and it's still going strong. Oil changes and a couple of belts all this time.

I bought a bad boy rebel back 21-22. Few oil changed and some blades. Thing is a beast. Holds 13 gallons of fuel so you can mow all day. A dealer near me had a new mower with a joystick on the left side. Looked perfect for mowing with a cold drink in your other hand. In several years when mine goes out I’ll take a look. Right now the badboy is still got a long way to go

I have a Hustler. It is the least expensive in their commercial line. You need to stay in the commercial lane. You will probably have to buy new. Why?
Because most home owners don't buy new commercial mowers. The ones that do typically keep them for a long time. Finding a low hour commercial is almost impossible.
Commercial operators have commercial mowers. You can find one they had used. It will be high hours, and many worn out and broken parts.
Focus on high horsepower, width, and very importantly, suspension. Suspension seat, what kind of tires, spring loaded front forks. Get a purpose built lift and do your own maintenance.
My lawn mower is more valuable than my truck and my wife's car combined.
