MP5 22lr

so I'm looking for a HK MP5 22 as I know the GSG 22s are junk from what I've read

My question is I just seen on armslist a guy selling a gsg 22 that was before the hk lawsuit and they changed up the gsg apparently. Does anyone know anything about this? Are these as good of quality as the HK mp5s?

I have a pre-law suit GSG-5. It is a cute range toy. But that is about it. Accuracy isn't great. The barrel is really thin with a plastic shroud to add width. I remember reading people who SBRed theirs, and had the muzzle threaded had to build up the front to get something to thread. It is a shame. It was one of the first tactical 22s to hit the market. Little things like a medium profile barrel, less picky on ammo (prefers CCI Mini Mags to run), and less reliance on airsoft grade sights and accessories would be nice. I bought a Ruger 10/22 a few years later, and out of the box it runs rings around the GSG-5. And since then I've done what every good 10/22 owner does: Upgrades!

Don't get me wrong. It is a fun range toy. Post some silhouettes/terrorists and have fun. And don't forget to yell "TANGO DOWN" after each head shot! LOL

I am interested in how Walther/HK made their .22 MP5. GSG used their airsoft gun and built a .22 to go inside it.
