Otter Creek Labs Lithium 9mm was designed specifically for 9mm PCC's and his test gun was an MP5. So... Yeah, it was designed to run perfect on an MP5/SP5/AP5.
And they're actually IN STOCK at Silencer Shop... I'm only surprised because their cans are selling so fast on there whenever they get a fresh order, they don't last very long. LOL
Get you one of these HUB 3-lug adapter mounts for it, and you'd be set!

I own a Rugged Obsidian 9 for a SP5. It’s pretty nice and the tri lug mount is awesome.
However, the baffles are stainless (super tough) but the tube is aluminum, and from what I’ve read, using CLR soak to loosen the crud up when cleaning is not really recommended with stainless as it will slowly etch/get eaten away. And definitely don’t use CLR on aluminum as it eats it.
Not the biggest deal unless you are a heavy user + heavy cleaner.
But if I had to do it over, I’d strongly consider a full titanium can as they are generally impervious to CLR. Even though I tend towards user serviceable cans like the Obsidian 9, cleaning them is a pain and a big perk for TBAC cans (almost all are sealed) is they offer one free cleaning a year.
So…I suggest the Fly 9 with a third party tri-lug. They suggest a couple different brands on their product page for the Fly 9.

I have 6 Rugged cans...including the obsidian.... I have had zero issues with clr and turns my baffles back to brand new. I do not soak the tube or end caps. CLR will eat anything! Don't leave it in their longer than necessary and rinse properly. I have zero issues, damage, problems.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my Obsidian K config on my MP5 with my 147 and 165gr N340 subs. Had mine out last week.
Yeah, it’s a nice can. But the problem is if you cannot get the baffles out. Can’t give it a CLR soak. Has that happened to you? I haven’t tried to open it up yet.
With my Banish 30 full-titanium can that’s no problem as I just soaked it in CLR for days when I waited too long between cleanings and they got stuck. I do not soak the stainless muzzle threads due to slow etching (Frank Green of Bartlien talked about a test with CLR and stainless and it does indeed etch stainless).
Then I used their awesome “baffle jack” tool to effortlessly press the baffles out to clean further.
Anyway, suppressors are sort of a lifetime purchase plus take forever to get so do it right the first time.

Cousin uses a 9k on his 9mm pcc, it’s a pretty nice match in that size and style of rifle. Can’t say whether it’s better or worse than any comparable models but we have no complaints with it.
When I was shopping for a suppressor for an MP5 a couple years ago, I narrowed the list down to the Dead Air Wolfman, the SilencerCo Omega 9k, and the GSL Phoenix. I ended up choosing the DA Wolfman. Here's my take on the Wolfman. Caveat: It's the only pistol caliber suppressor I own or have experience with.
It's a modular can, meaning you can use it in a short or long configuration. This is partly why I bought it. Furthermore, you can use wipes with it in either configuration. Spoiler: I can't tell a difference, volume or tone wise, between the short and long configurations. I just can't tell any difference and NEVER run it in long configuration anymore. I've never tried using it with wipes. If I had known then what I know now, I'd take the Wolfman out of the running and only be comparing the SiCo Omega 9k and the GSL Phoenix.
That said, I'm not unhappy with the Wolfman. It performs well. But I spent extra money for 2.25" of suppressor that never gets attached and stays in the safe.

It's a round chunk of flat rubber with a small "X" cut in the center of it to help the bullet pass through it. They are typically located in the end-cap of suppressors (that are wipe-compatible). And they must be replaced after about 10-25 shots, depending on the caliber and power of the cartridge being shot. What it does, is it helps seal-up the gasses inside the can after the bullet passes through it, helping to make things extra-quiet for clandestine ops...Like retiring high value marks at close ranges, where true ambiguity is key for your own survival making it out alive.
No, I've never had an issue getting baffles out. And per Rugged, cleaning on their cans other than 22lr is not needed frequently. I have found this to be true and I've had mine since the first surge and Obsidian were released..
I don't shoot pistols much, nor do I shoot .22LR through anything other than my rimfire suppressors... But I've never had to clean my Obsidian 45. Still looks good and not caked-up or anything.

Exactly. Same with mine and my Surge 7.62... I actually spoke to Rugged about this, they told me you shouldn't have to clean them by design. They said their Oculus you would need to clean though... in God knows how many years, I've cleaned my pistol and centerfire cans Exactly once.. my oculus's are an entirely different story

Purchase was a Sico octane 45 because I was under the impression that I never knew what I would shoot through it. Here we are years later and it has stayed on nothing but 9mm lol.
If I could go back I would have gotten the 9k FOR SURE.
The octane stays on my scorpion 90% of the time and only comes off to play with pistols ever once in a great while.
Get the smallest 9mm can you can get with the attachment method you like.

Not many cans are setup to run wipes. The Dead Air Wolfman is setup from the factory to run wipes. You can buy spare wipes from them, but they have to stay at your local dealer, because the retards at the ATF reclassified wipes as "suppressor parts" and must be regulated. You can only keep ONE wipe in your possession at a time, according to the dicks at the AFT.
Or, you can look online and find the correct material and round punch size that you can buy from the local home depot, and store them meticulously separated in your garage...
The Obsidian cans are nice, but if you want it for a PCC, the Dead Air Wolfman is my suggestion if you want wipes. My buddy as an SP5 and a Wolfman, and with subs, it's stupid-quiet. But if you don't want to do much LARPing, the Otter Creek Lithium is one of the quietest PCC 9mm cans that PEW Science has tested. So are all of his centerfire rifle cans, in their respective categories. You should check them out. The hype is real.

I think you have to buy the Tri-Lug separate. But I do suggest not going budget on a suppressor. The YHM cans kind of suck, and so do SilencerCo cans. The SiCo Octanes were having severe QC issues several years ago, with baffles and end caps not being welded on straight, off-center machined baffle stacks and end caps causing strikes, etc... It was a real shitshow. I would strongly suggest not wasting your money on anything SilencerCo or YHM. The YHM cans are well built, they're just not very quiet. And the whole point of a suppressor is to suppress...Blast, flash, and sound signature. If it doesn't do any/all of those things very well, then, IMO, it's not worth the $200 tax stamp.
My opinion is get the Wolfman or Lithium.
Wipes work, but are kind of gimmicky, only because they don't last but a few shots, and you also cannot shoot expanding or HP ammo through them, or it will expand as it pushes through the wipe, causing some "interesting" things to happen. This is why I suggest the Lithium, as you won't be using the wipes as much as you think after you burn through a few of them. I had a buddy who bought a Wolfman for the same reason, and thought the same thing about the wipes, and then he quickly realized it wasn't really worth the hassle. So he just shot the wipe out, and left it in the can and hasn't replaced in a few thousand rounds. LOL

Internal volume...And intended purpose design. The Wolfman was made and designed specifically for PCC's. The Ghost was designed for pistols, but CAN work on PCC's as well.
It comes with a 1/2x28 thread adapter. If you want trilug, you'll have to order DA Part# 444, which will screw right in to the breech end of the Wolfman. And start looking for one from every source that carries them the moment you decide to go with the Wolfman, as they don't come in stock often. And when they do, they go quick.
Another other thing about the Wolfman - It *is* rated for some rifle calibers as long as you use a KeyMicro muzzle brake. I didn't really see this as a 'feature' since then I'd have to take the trilug adapter off the suppressor and replace it with the KeyMicro adapter ($250) when switching weapon platforms, which must also use KeyMicro muzzle devices. I've got other cans for that. I just mention it because it *is* an option.

Actually KeyMo/KeyMicro muzzle devices are both able to be used if you have a regular (full-size) KeyMo adapter on your can. I don't think it's backwards compatible with KeyMicro adapter with KeyMo muzzle device, but you might need to check with DA about that.
The Curtis Tactical CT-9 and CT-9K are both awesome cans. The CT-9 is a large product improved can similar to the older co-axial models. The CT-9K is the same diameter but, about 2 inches shorter. Both are durable top-quality cans that will last a lifetime even if shot hard. They are all stainless so, a bit heavier than most but they balance out well on the SP-5 I have. If I didn't have other options, I'd be all over that CT-9K personally.
Don't know if the OP ever decided, but incase he hasn't, or maybe it will help someone else in the future, I just did a video with my Rugged Obsidian 45 in K-configuration on my MP5...
It does have a bit of downrange echo (as you can hear in the video), but at the gun, it's ridiculously quiet. No hearing pro needed at all. The roller delayed blowback design really helps dwell time to avoid any port pop.
Yes, running the Rugged 9mm Tri-Lug mount in mine. They have a 9mm and 45 version, but they both will fit in the 45 can. Get the 9mm version if you’re running it on an MP5…It’s spec’d for the H&K tri-lug to fit really nicely with minimal play.
I liked the SF Ryder 3 lug set up so much I had to buy a second one.
SF Ryder 9 for me and definitely go tri-lug for mounting if you can. If I was buying the can again I might go with something short and fat instead of the RYDER 9 just to keep the overall package shorter. But with 147 grain bullets it is movie quiet in my B&T APC9 Pro
So I have a MP5 clone on the way and have a question about a can for it. Is the action affected by backpressure like an AR is? I'm wondering if a flow through design or bigger can is better (noticed a few people running a 45) or is the roller delay action not an issue.

MP5s are very low on backpressure, even with traditional cans. Here, I’m shooting my AP5 with a Wolfman and a Super Safety (so full auto rates of fire) and I’m not noticing any blowback.
There's a different locking piece made for the K varient to maybe that one's more sensitive to backpressure.
