hi all, I have a conundrum, I recently purchased a second hand MPA chassis for my cz 457. And I didn't get the action screws... can anyone here do me a massive favour and get all the dimensions for the front and rear off their setup? Also there is a gal to run the rear chassis block out of the factory one but is it required in this instance?

Yep, they were good gave me an email and still waiting for a reply, I think I've narrowed it down to the MPA model may have longer screws than others. Regardless they won't fit, i can mod some easily but a correct length will help. I'm also not sure if the lug at the back is still required? There is a notch cut out for it.

Well sorted bolts, and worked out how to get the lug in, next issue appears that the front bolt isn't able to put the receiver on the bedding , i think the magazine well and the well bolt are actually sitting on the chassis, the old mtr actually has a completed scallop cut out of the pillar bedding so I'm thinking I may need to route out a bit more room... anyone else seen this?

Wait. Pillar bedding on an MPA chassis? Second-hand for a (relatively new) 457? Missing screws?

I guess the first thing that occurred to me is, are you sure the chassis is for a 457 - or is it perhaps for a 455? I may be missing something here, but my experience with rifle chassis (for CZ, Tikka, and R700 clones) is the action obviously fits just right or it obviously doesn't.

And it's got bedding in it, instead of just bolting the action into the bare chassis as intended? I can see where this would make bolt length "non-standard" for the chassis.... but I keep coming back to wondering if the thing had a 455 action in it.

You're correct in that it's important to have the correct length bolts, and that can come down to an eighth or sixteenth on an inch difference in good to go and... not.

I sold him the MPA chassis.
It is for a CZ457 that was purchased as a package from Area419.

You could contact them as well if you need more info.

I also sent you a picture of the bolts that came with it.

Hey just curious- your CZ- does it have the aluminum magwell housing from DIP? Because if so, that’s why you are hitting the MPA chassis. The magwell from DIP has different dimensions than factory plastic one. I had to file mine down significantly for it to fit, but better than messing up the MPA chassis.

On the money, I'll get it sorted , its a learning experience and asfarasthechassis goes its a ripper. Apparently the MTR has different length bolts, I'll chuck up a pic of the MTR, and I recon something has changed in specs as you can see CZ is now cutting right into the pillar to fit the action in

Regardless MPA have been really responsive and proactive helping me get this sorted, couldn't be happier with the legend that sent it half way round the world and the company still assisting me even though I didn't get it from them new.. Now that is something they should be proud of and an indication of a company that stands by their product
