You can talk to Mark or Todd and they can help you out but I think I remember being told at our meeting at SHOT that the reticle won't be available until May but call and check to be sure as that was a long week and some brain cells were taken out

The reticle glasses they already have in stock at Germany. I will receive first converted MSR scope back from factory next week. Probably from us. It takes bit lomger withthe shippings etc.

The availability of new scopes with MSR at stores may be well May, since it just got announced and if ordered now, lead times for delivery is 3-4 months.

I'd love one of these is a 5-25x. This solves the issues that I don't like about the P4f. If anyone knows when this will be available in the US, please let me know.

Tailwind and Matt, scopes should be coming in May time frame in the US.

I wouldn't get too excited, as the most recent news I heard from S&B was that FinnAccuracy was only selling these direct (from finland) and that these will not be available in the US at all? This was direct from Mark earlier this week.

Anyone have any good info that negates that?

I was told S&B and Finn Accuracy couldn't come to an agreement on the reticle.

Not sure why Finn Accuracy wouldn't import. Ask them.

The P4F is pretty similar except for the ranging L in the lower quadrant. You might be holding off a long time waiting for that ranging L.

That the MSR is not coming out through S&B shouldn't be looked at as something against either company. Sometimes deals don't go through.

Sorry. Would like to, but I cant give any more details for various reasons.

Just wanted to inform dissapointed fellow shooters who are/were interested to get it that it is going to happen after all.
There was info here while ago that its not going to be available at all in US- thats the only reason I posted this.

IWA 2011 show (second biggest gun show after Shot) just ended today.

I confirm JL's info - MSR will be available not only from FinnAccuracy but also from S&B directly.

It may take a while for things to be finalized and S&B inform their reps on this.

Talked to my rep and she was laughing that the info came out faster on the Hide than her channels. She confirms that they will be available and gave a May time frame. Also the up charge of 100 euros or about $138 for the reticle is what is projected.

Hide is the place, which I think in the first place got S&B agree on making it public. I believe some younger generation S&B people followed also the thread on MSR reticle as specs were introduced and initial feedback on MSR was gathered from Hide members.

And feedback being positive ==> now reticle is on it's way to US.

I got mine two days ago. Five weeks ahead the promised schedule. MSR reticle has created quite a lot of interest and S&B had speedied up the first production run quite a lot. I know a few other production run scopes have arrived in Finland so this scope&reticle combination is now a reality.

In April I will get to use it properly for LR shooting with my .284 Win.

i don't know about retrofitting scopes with the new reticle, but you can get the msr, it's an additional 200$ up charge from the standard reticles

I just spoke with a represenative from S&B in reguards to outfitting existing S&B's with the MSR.

It can be done... completely within the US.
Must be a PMII model.
Reticle changes in general are $550.00
MSR Reticles have an additional $200.00 fee

8-16 week turn around time.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread - but now the MSR has been around for a while, how have users found it?

I'm wondering how shooters who hold for elevation and wind from a 100m/yd zero find it - do the bottom quadrant ranging scales ever get in the way? In looking a the reticle diagram, it seems that once you hold over past 2-3 mils and you have wind demanding 1.5-2 mil hold or more, your target could be somewhat obscured. Any experiences with this?

I like it, I have two and bridges the gap between a P4 and P4F nicely... I haven't had to hold that far, but I have also added in a bit of elevation to keep me in the center... S&Bs dial pretty fast so spinning up a few mils is easy.

Seems like it wants to get in the way, but it hasn't yet, doesn't mean it won't just hasn't.

I'm like LL, I have 2 and I like them a lot, I have never had a problem with target obscuration.

Everyone that has milled with them want the little reticle, they work very well, even better than any spotting scope I have used, as you can get on target so fast.

The only thing that would make it better, IMO, is a few numbers down the main P4 reticle.
