MTU barrel

Quick questions if you guys don't mind:
Can I fit my R700 SPS Tactical 20" barrel to a McMillan A5 stock that is for MTU barrel, with no mods & is it OK to do that (or it's too big & won't perform well)?

Tokie, I thought these would help you out. This is a PSS stock opened up for a MTU contour barrel with a stock SPS barreled action setting in it. The gap is significant however I plan to rebarrel at some point so I'm going to hang onto it.
