Muzzle Brake blast shield (not can)?

I like using a brake on my 6.5CM but I frequent an indoor 100yd range and usually have someone sitting next to me. I hate being the jerk that blasts my poor neighbors in the face. Is there a device that would clip on the barrel far enough away from the brake to not affect it's performance or the POI but still force the blast/gasses to the sides or even a bit forward? I know there are little cans or shields that screw on to some brakes but I'd imagine it affects POI.

I use a surefire warden blast diffuser on my ar pistol. There is still pretty good concussion tho. It doesn't borrow me, but when I see spent brass bouncing around the table and stuff falling over, I guess there still good concussion. At least I know the blast is directed forward and I'm not being an a-hole with a brake blowing away people on the sides.

I can't tell if it affects my POI much. I shoot green tip at targets 100 yards away, so I can't tell.

Or was that Captain Obvious showing up again....
True but I also like to practice how I play. POI shifts a bit and the recoil is obviously different with it off. I like to go midday during the week to be able to keep from having neighbors. I went today and luckily I was able to ask the RO to not put anyone next to me and since there were only three lanes occupied it wasn't an issue. I guess I'll pull it off in the future if it gets busy. I recently had a neighbor shooting some big magnum round next to me with an APA brake and it reacquainted me with how not fun it is to shoot next to a braked rifle at that range.

It's a gun range. Noise and muzzle blast are to be expected.

I'm not going to modify any of my rifles for the .000001% of people who might be bothered by it.
100%!

And adding anything to your rifle will also effect your POI so you won't be practicing how you play so putting on a shield of any sort will change the rifle just like taking the brake off.

Do you play indoors? If no, then why practice indoors?
I wouldn’t take it off, or do much else besides give the guy next to me a courtesy heads up, but let’s be honest, if your game is PRS, and you’re shooting from a bench indoors, you’re not practicing.

Weather, distance and convenience. The indoor range is 15 minutes from my house a good outdoor range is 1hr plus.

I know Griffin makes one but it's only compatible with their own muzzle devices. Their blast shield is what you are looking for, or at least in concept.

They have a YouTube video up where they demonstrate the device and meter it as well.

For something that will work with other muzzle devices I'm not sure but they are probably out there.

That said if you use something like that it can very much so alter your POI because it effectively creates a new crown on your barrel. I have not tested it myself because I never used the blast shield I used to own. Eventually I gave it away.

Also if you get one that 'clips on' that's introducing another even bigger variable because they tend to have a bit of wiggle to them. The taper mount ones don't have that problem but others do.

If you are shooting for extreme bug hole accuracy you might see a shift because of the extra weight on the muzzle as well as the directional shift in gasses.

Again I cannot say for sure that a huge shift will or won't happen because I never tested it under those circumstances but be aware that it is a possibility.

FYI Griffin makes one that QDs onto a standard A2 flash hider. It’s not cheap at around $150 but worked decently well. I just sold mine.
