I have the Thunderbeast BA brake on my rifle. Its intended for there suppressor but very effective. Other up side is it uses peel washers so timing of the brake is easy. As far as deafening goes... It's not as bad to be next to on the line compared the JP or the Badger FTE.

I run RWS's on my hunting rig, and a OPS on the 700p. Both are impressive. RWS is really hard to beat at $45 to your door.

Something else to look at are Edwards mercury reducers. Looking to add them on my Pop's marlin lever.

Another vote for the APA Little Bastard very effective brake and not very $$. Def does exactly what is suppose to do and is very effective at it.
