I've got a Robinson XCR pistol coming in tomorrow and I'm planning on switching to some sort of linear brake or blast reduction device. The 4 that have my attention so far are in no particular order: Surefire Warden, Maxim Hate Brake, Primary weapons systems CQB, and Ferfans CQB Modular muzzle brake. Anybody running any of these and if so how do you like them?

Out of your selections....Surefire Warden for me. I like the idea of being able detach it if I desire.

And I would prefer a "100%" forward linear device if I had to fire a weapon from the interior of a car.... especially if it is a 7.5" 5.56.

On the SureFire Warden you need to get a muzzle break or three prong flash hider attached first for the Warden to attach to. It attaches just like a SureFire suppressor. So that would be $129.00 for the brake/flash hider and another $159.00 for the Warden.

If you want to save some money take a look at Primary Weapon Systems

It's on my short list above.

The Ferfrans is similar, brake with detachable concussion device.

I wonder how much difference the tiny holes drilled in the "shield" makes in the big picture... directing the blast away wise and not to the side at all..

Someday, when I am rich enough... I'd like to test a bunch of the devices.

oops... make sure which ever you buy, the fit is "snug" enough.... I bought some of the first Gen Lantac BMD's and the shield's fit was way to loose... accuracy went out the door.. groups size increased dramatically.

I have no idea if the Lantac Gen 2's are better fit.

I really like the SLR linear comp tucked in the hand guard. Below is 300 BO 8.5" in a 10" hand guard with the blasted titanium sleeve SLR.
    very effective for it's size.
