Just got my SBR stamp to build my Yugo M92. I've pondered the idea of installing a rail system, then running a DBAL I2 for night shooting.
The M92's I've shot with their 7.62X39 round and 10.25" barrel, launch an impressive fireball when shot.....so the question is, how is this going to effect my PVS-14? I think I know the answer, but want to know if there's guys here with muzzle flash Experiences to share.
    Thanks in advance!

Most newer night vision devices have protection built in for this type of probelm. The scopes / goggles with this protection will not attempt to blind you due to muzzle flash, flash/bang granades and more importantly, someone turning on the lights when you are stalking into their defensive position. They momentarily shut off. Amost like blinking.

10-4, I'm running a PVS-14 night enforcer pinnacle....just wondering if the flash will degrade the tube.....or is this unit designed with these issues in mind.

Any light will degrade the tube as I'm sure you are aware however the muzzle flash is very brief even without the protection and should be minimal. Prolonged exposure to light is the big thing to avoid. The NV scope I used in the Army was a PVS-4 and it lasted quite a long time and wasn't nearly as good a unit is you have.

Actually, the PVS-4 is actually designed specifically for this kind of abuse, while the MX-11769 isn't -

But you are still absolutely right about it being fine - I would not expect any issues. It will reduce tube life a little but I would not bother about it - it's not really significant IMO.

If the muzzle flash is really severe, then that's still probably worth fixing, but tubes in general are designed for military applications, so a normal level of muzzle flash is part of the general mix

Yeah, I've got a 30 cal suppressor....only issue is the oddball 14mm threaded muzzle.

You should ask Delta P if he is looking to do anything in the near Future for that.<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Nostradumbass</div><div class="ubbcode-body"><div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: ASM1</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Put a CAN on it..</div></div>
