My 12yr old ringing some steel at 100yds

Ryan's OK, looks like dad is a little shaky on the scope ;)

Took my 9 year old son out for the first time with the 22. He thought he was a SEAL sniper by the end. You got it right, reactive targets- instant feedback. I used a resealing bowling pin and the range we found had steel plate at 100 and prairie dog at 50. Not as nice as your set up. He blew thru my ammo and I mainly got to fill mags, but I got him to pick up the empty brass. Lot's of fun.

It's a lot of fun teaching the kids to shoot, had the nephews out last week, shooting rimfire steel out to 100 meters and the centerfire steel chickens at 200 meters 10/22's I built. Teaching them to dial for distance. Then the 10 year old decided he wanted to shoot my 6.5 CM at the rams at 500. After a few rounds he's watching them fall in the scope.

Here's my nine year old behind his Marlin .22.
At 100m he's shooting 1.5" groups with CCI SV.
He's been shooting about 3 years now.
Very proud of him.
