Here is my 1903A4 Vintage Sniper Rifle Project with an original M84 scope.

The receiver did start out as a "recovered drill rifle receiver" from AimSurplus.

I apologize for some blurry pictures.

Here are the pictures of the progress. Unfortunately they are not in order.

Nice job, nice rifle. That's going to be my next project. I'm going to use an El Pasco K2.5 with a post, redfield JR mounts with verticle split rings.

My ideal is to buy a junk 1903a3, then put on a new, CMP C Stock and Barrel.

Re: My 1903A4 Vintage Sniper project is finished!

I was thinking about changing out my M73G2 scope for the M84 on my 1903/A4, but isn't the M84 only 2.2X?

So my question is: How do you like the M84 scope? I heard the reticle is just a single post, is that true?

Wow. Looks like its fresh from the factory. You did an amazing job, congratulations.

Where'd ya get the base and rings? The base SWFA sent me (twice) for an 03A3 has two mounting holes in front and one in back of the action? Yep, thats one too many holes in front. My 03A3 actioned rifle has one hole in front and one in back....like yours. The Leupold base I got that says "03a3" on the box has a window opened up over the action for a short action.......for an 03a3....huh? Great lookin rifle brother.
