Hey guys i just wanted to do a little review of my 308 Mark "Spartan Precision" built me along with Cerikote work by nolo @ SMK rifleworks
Specs:
-22" Obermeyer M24 barrel
-Manners T2 with duct tape cheekrest
-new style remington trigger
-Factory R700 action
-Badger rings
-PH light tactical
-Tab sling w/swivles

Id like to say a big thanks to Mark and Nolo for their exceptional customer service, They always returned my phone calls promptly and were more than happy to take time out of their busy scheduals to answer any of my dumb questions.
As for the rifle it has turned out perfact in every way and i couldnt be happier. Unfortunately Mark shot himself in the foot doing such a good job on it that, after shooting at RO for PR1-2 and their Friends and family match against other custome 260's, 6xc's and 6.5 creedmores, it has done so well i have scraped my plans on having him build me a 260 rem.... SORRY Mark!
The rifle is comfortable in any position weather it be Kneeling with a sling or any kind of positional shooting, and handles very well in tight spots like Jakobs "moust Trap". I have on more than one occasion had people say to me "damn that little 308 you got shoots!"
The only compaints i have about this set up as a hole is, My PH would not let me reset the zero on the turrets( there were 2 other PH's at the class and they were having issues as well...) and the badger rings have a bad tendancy to rust inside and out.
I will add to this post some targets and more pics when i get back out to the range with some dot drill pics and some 5 and 10 round group shots. With factory SMK 175's i have shot several .3 moa groups with this rifle.
I would like to also say thanks to the crew @ RO for their unparaleld generosity and outstanding marksmenship instruction. I had a blast and met many good people that i will be keeping in touch with from now on.
I can do the above custome cheek peice work for anyone for a moddest price of coarse...
